Funded Programs
Traineeships
At the National Skills Training Institute (Dog Trainer Academy), traineeships provide a valuable pathway to gain nationally recognised qualifications while working in the animal care and pet services industry. A traineeship combines paid employment with structured training, allowing you to develop hands-on skills in a real workplace while completing your studies with us.
NSTI delivers funded traineeships in both Queensland and New South Wales, making training more accessible and affordable for eligible students. With the support of your employer and our experienced trainers, you’ll gain the confidence, knowledge, and industry-ready skills needed to build a rewarding career.
NSW Government Funding
The NSW Government’s Smart and Skilled program provides eligible students with access to government-subsidised training, making nationally recognised qualifications more affordable. The program is designed to give people the skills they need for jobs in demand and to support career development in key industries such as animal care, grooming, and dog training. By covering part of the training costs, Smart and Skilled reduces fees for students and helps more people gain qualifications that lead to meaningful employment.
As an approved Smart and Skilled provider, the National Skills Training Institute (NSTI) is able to deliver funded training programs across New South Wales. Students who meet the eligibility requirements can take advantage of reduced course fees, making it easier to start or advance their career. With practical training and the guidance of experienced trainers, NSTI ensures that students receive the skills and knowledge required to thrive in the animal care and pet services industry.
